In light of #BlackoutTuesday, we have provided further information on this time in need of our communities.
#BlackoutTuesday is a social movement & result of the music industry's attempting efforts to encourage others to pause our lives & reflect on how we may contribute to the end of race wars, hate crimes & unequal mistreatment that continues to occur within the Black community. This initiative was Sparked by Jamila Thomas & Brianna Agyemang, two women who both work in music marketing.
Yesterday, Brands including Spotify, APPLe & TikTok, following many others, who have expressed their plans to cease business operations today, Tuesday, June 2nd, in support of #BlackoutTuesday.
Today, music industry professionals & businesses across the globe have #PausedtheShow in light of the protests & riots that have occurred, following the unjust murder of George Floyd & the neglected charges his perpetrators, police officer, Derrick Chauvin, along with his fellow accomplices, have yet to receive.
